Thanks for correcting the spelling on the article about Saturn. I have created articles for all of the planets, taking the text from the Simple English Wikipedia. These articles are rather good, and not too technical, and should be good examples of articles for people working on this Wiki. MyMyanmar did the initial translation of the စ​နေ​ဂြိုလ်​ article; but he didn't keep the links. Could you have a look at the first two paragraphs in Burmese, compare them with the first two paragraphs of English there, and restore some links to the Burmese text? wrong spellings

Dear Hintha, Wikipedia's translation into Myanmar is ဝီ​ကီ​ပိ​ဒိ​ယ​ not ဝီ​ကီ​ပီး​ဒီ​ယား​ . If you see any miss-spelling when you go around, please try to fix them. Need any privileged work, please tell me ;) MyMyanmar 20:02, 11 ဇူ​လိုင်​ 2008 (UTC) Myanmar WA "ဝ" and Myanmar Zero "၀" are not same. Most people are typing Myanmar Wa as Myanmar Zero like in "ဧ​ရာ​၀တီ​တို​င်း​". The correct spelling is "ဧ​ရာ​ဝ​တီ​တို​င်း​". Depending on the font you use, you the shapes of zero and wa are different or same. If you see any miss-spellings, please try to fix them. Wow I didn't notice that. There are 7 pages on the index I found using ၀ instead of ဝ. I'll move those pages and get them marked for deletion. As for Wikipedia's translation, I think people are using ဝီ​ကီ​ပီး​ဒီ​ယား​ instead of ဝီ​ကီ​ပိ​ဒိ​ယ because ဝီ​ကီ​ပီး​ဒီ​ယား​ is more similar to the English pronunciation "wee-kee-pee-di-yaa".--Hintha 23:57, 11 ဇူ​လိုင်​ 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Hmm, about changing Wikipedia's spelling to reflect English pronunciation. I actually prefer the shorthand more, it's faster to type and simpler. But when we get more users we should have a vote to see which "translation" users prefer. Also, I noticed on the homepage the portal for "math" (သခ်ျာ --> သင်္ချာ) has a typo. Also, whenever I interwiki the Burmese articles to other Wikipedias, the text shows up as "Myanmasa" (wouldn't Myanma batha be more accurate?) instead of the Burmese Unicode version, like other languages. Just wondering whether it's purposely done like that. --Hintha 07:43, 13 ဇူ​လိုင်​ 2008 (UTC)

The word "Myanmasa" is better in everyday use for my opinion instead of "Myanmar Batha". Like this sentence as an example, "Do you speak English?" or "Do you write English?". In those sentences, you can use like "Do you speak English Language?" but you usually don't. The word, "Myanmar Batha" is like calling it in a more unfamiliar way. And by the way, are you a Mr. or a Miss? I question it because your nickname looks like guy's name and the pronoun you used in your page is gal's. MyMyanmar 18:47, 13 ဇူ​လိုင်​ 2008 (UTC)

Could you kindly help me translate these passages into the unique and fabulous Burmese language? Please.

Padauk Vs. Myanmar3

Hi Hintha, as a active editor on Myanmar Wikipedia which font do you think should take precedence? We usually have all these fonts on our system, hence the order in which they appear in the CSS is important. Currently Myanmar3 does have a problem at the display level, but using it does prevent the သဝေထိုး and ရရစ်. I personally think Myanmar3 should take precedence in the long-term when the bug you mentioned is fixed (because of what you said and because it differentiates the ဝလုံး [ဝ] and သုည [၀], which is a recurring typing problem I see whenever I'm editing articles previously made by someone else). Right now, I set my Firefox settings so the monospace is Myanmar3 (so I can catch incorrect sequence ordering when typing) and the sans-serif and serif as Padauk so the page displays as it should (like အောက်မြစ် and အသတ် combo).--ဟင်္သာ^talk 18:35, 23 ဇူ​လိုင်​ 2008 (UTC)

The latest "monobook.css" will not display the articles that you have edited correctly. Please create your own "monobook.css" similar to User:Zawthet/monobook.css as a temporary workaround until Wiki solved the font display problem. Zawthet 18:07, 23 ဇူ​လိုင်​ 2008 (UTC)
