ငုယင် ဖူထျောင် (၁၉၄၄-) သည် ဗီယက်နမ်လူမျိုး နိုင်ငံရေးသမားဖြစ်ပြီး လက်ရှိတွင် ဗီယက်နမ်ကွန်မြူနစ်ပါတီ၏ အထွေထွေအတွင်းရေးမှူး လုပ်နေသည်။ ၂၀၁၁ ခု၊ ဇန်နဝါရီလ ၁၉ ရက်တွင် ဗီယက်နမ်သမ္မတအရာကို လည်းကောင်း၊ ၂၀၁၈ ခု၊ အောက်တိုဘာလ ၂၃ ရက်တွင် ဗီယက်နမ် နိုင်ငံခေါင်းဆောင်အဖြစ်လည်းကောင်း တင်မြှောက်ခံရသည်။

လူထုအစည်းအဝေး၏ ဥက္ကဋ္ဌအရာကို ၂၀၀၆ မှ ၂၀၁၁ ကာလတွင် ရပြီး ၂၀၁၁ ခု၊ ဗီယက်နမ်ကွန်မြူနစ်ပါတီ၏ ၁၁ ကြိမ်မြောက် အမျိုးသားကွန်ဂရက်တွင် အထွေထွေအတွင်းရေးမှူးအဖြစ် အရွေးခံရသည်။ ၂၀၁၆ ခုတွင် ကျင်းပသော ၁၂ ကြိမ်မြောက် အမျိုးသားကွန်ဂရက်၌လည်း ထပ်ရွေးခံရသည်။

အထွေထွေအတွင်းရေးမှူး ရာထူးဖြင့် ပါတီ၏ အတွင်းရေးမှူးချုပ်နှင့် ဗဟိုစစ်ဘက်ကော်မရှင်၏ အတွင်းရေးမှူးတာဝန်ကို ယူရသည်။ နိုင်ငံနှင့်ဆိုင်သော အဆုံးအဖြတ်များကို ချမှတ်သည့် နိုင်ငံရေးဗြူရို၏ ခေါင်းဆောင်လည်းဖြစ်ရာ ဗီယက်နမ်တွင် အာဏာအရှိဆုံးပုဂ္ဂိုလ် ဖြစ်နေသည်။

၂၀၁၈ ခု၊ အောက်တိုဘာလ ၃ ရက်တွင် ဗီယက်နမ်ကွန်မြူနစ်ပါတီ၏ ဗဟိုကော်မတီက ထျောင်ကို နောက်သမ္မတအဖြစ် အရွေးခံမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း လူထုအစည်းအဝေး၌ စာရင်းသွင်းသည်။ ထိုလ ၂၃ ရက်တွင်ပင် ဗီယက်နမ်၏ ၉ ဆက်မြောက် သမ္မတအဖြစ် အရွေးခံရသည်။

ထျောင်ကို ဒုံအန် ခရိုင်၊ ဒုံဟွိုင် ဘုံနယ်၌ ၁၉၄၄ ခု၊ ဧပြီလ ၁၉ ရက်တွင် မွေးသည်။ မိဘများမှာ တောင်သူများ ဖြစ်သည်။ ၁၉၆၃ ခု ၆၈ ကာလ၌ ဟန္နိုင်းရှိ ဗီယက်နမ်အမျိုးသားတက္ကသိုလ်၌ ဒဿနိကဘာသာကို သင်ယူသည်။ ၁၉၆၈ ခု၊ ဒီဇင်ဘာလတွင် ဗီယက်နမ်ကွန်မြူနစ်ပါတီ၏ ပါတီဝင်ဖြစ်လာသည်။ ကွန်မြူနစ်မဂ္ဂဇင်း (Tạp chí Cộng Sản) အတွက် အလုပ်လုပ်သည်။ ၁၉၈၁ ခုတွင် ဆိုဗီယက်သို့ သွားကာ သိပ္ပတက္ကသိုလ်သို့ တက်သည်။ ၁၈၉၃ ခုတွင် သမိုင်းဘာသာနှင့် ဘွဲ့ရခဲ့သည်။

၁၉၉၁ ခုတွင် ကွန်မြူနစ်မဂ္ဂဇင်း၏ အယ်ဒီတာချုပ် ဖြစ်လာသည်။ ၁၉၉၈ ခုတွင် ပါတီလှုပ်ရှားမှုတို့ကို ပိုမိုအာရုံစိုက် လုပ်ကိုင်ရာ လူသိများသော နိုင်ငံရေးအယူအဆသမား ဖြစ်လာသည်။ ဗဟိုကော်မတီ၏ အယူအဆပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာကောင်စီကို ၂၀၀၁ ခုမှ ၂၀၀၆ ခုအထိ ဦးဆောင်ခွင့် ရသည်။

၁၉၉၄ ခု၊ ဇန်နဝါရီလကပင် ဗဟိုကော်မတီဝင် ဖြစ်ခဲ့သည်။ နိုင်ငံရေးဗြူရို၏ အဖွဲ့ဝင်အရာကို ၁၉၉၇ ခုတွင် ရပြီး လူထုအစည်းအဝေး၏ ဒုဥက္ကဋ္ဌအရာကို ၂၀၀၂ ခု၊ မေလတွင် ဆက်ခံသည်။ ၂၀၀၀ ပြည့်၊ ဇန်နဝါရီမှ ၂၀၀၆ ခု၊ ဇွန်လအထိ ပါတီ၏ ဟန္နိုင်း အမှုဆောင်ကော်မတီ၏ အတွင်းရေးမှူး ဖြစ်ပြီး မြို့တော်အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးအဖွဲ့ ခေါင်းဆောင်အဖြစ် တာဝန်ယူသည်။ ၂၀၀၆ ခု၊ ဇွန်လ ၂၆ ရက်တွင် လူထုအစည်းအဝေး၏ ဥက္ကဋ္ဌအဖြစ် အရွေးခံရသည်။ ၂၀၁၈ ခု၊ အောက်တိုဘာလ ၂၃ ရက်တွင် ဗီယက်နမ် ဆိုရှယ်လစ်ပြည်ထောင်စုသမ္မတနိုင်ငံ၏ ၉ ဆက်မြောက်သမ္မတ ဖြစ်လာသည်။

၂၀၁၉ ခု၊ ဧပြီလ ၁၄ ရက်တွင် ကင်ဇန်းသို့ သွားသော ခရီးစဉ်အပြန်တွင် ဟိုချီမင်းရှိ ချိုဇေးဆေးရုံသို့ အရေးပေါ်တင်ရသည်။ ပြည်ပသတင်းများက ဦးစွာဖော်ပြကြပြီး ပြည်တွင်း၌ ဂယက်ထလာသည်။ အစောပိုင်းတွင် အစိုးရဘက်က မည်သည့်မှတ်ချက်မှ မပေး။ နောက်မှ နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာနက မကျန်းမာကြောင်း၊ မကြာမီ လုပ်ငန်းဆောင်တာများ ပြန်လုပ်မည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း သတင်းထုတ်သည်။ ၂၀၁၉ ခု၊ မေလ ၁၄ ရက်တွင် ပြန်ပေါ်လာပြီး နောက်လုပ်မည့် ပါတီကွန်ဂရက်အတွက် ဆွေးနွေးချက်များ လုပ်သည်။

Leader of Vietnam

First term as General Secretary

Trọng was elected General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 2011. The 5th plenum of the 11th Central Committee decided to take the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption away from the Prime Minister’s control and Trọng was elected its head.

On 6 July 2015, General Secretary Trọng arrived in the United States to begin his United States visit to 10 July 2015. This is the first time a leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam has held office in the United States Department of State, but has not held any official post in the Oval Office. This visit coincided with the milestone of twenty years since the United States and Vietnam normalized diplomatic relations. The talks with President Barack Obama was about human rights, security and defense and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Reelection as General Secretary

On 27 January 2016, Trọng was re-elected as General Secretary of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam at the first conference of the committee. At 72 years old, he was the 12th Committee's oldest member. For this term, Trong is ranked number one in the Politburo, marking a return to normality.

Trọng hopes, under a one-party rule, to strengthen Vietnam's position in the world, turning it into an industrial country rather than a country that produces on primary products. "A country without discipline would be chaotic and unstable [...]. [W]e need to balance democracy and law and order", he said at the close of a meeting to choose the country’s leadership for the next five years. "I very much hope the new faces in the politburo will push with reforms and bring the country forward, but I don't know whether they can do that", said Tran Thi Tram. "They will also have to really tackle the corruption problem, otherwise the people would be the ones to suffer most".

Presidential nomination

On 3 October 2018, Trọng was chosen by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam with nearly 100% support to become the party nominee for the position of the President of Vietnam, becoming the official successor of Trần Đại Quang.

Presidency

The National Assembly elected Trọng as state president on 23 October 2018 with 99.79% percent of the vote. His swearing-in ceremony took place at the Grand Hall and was broadcast live on the afternoon on state radio and television systems.
