ပုံ၏အပေါ်ဘက်ခြမ်းသည် ဒေ၀နာဂါရီတွင် သက္ကတဘာသာဖြင့် ရေးသားပါရှိသော ဗိဿနိုးသို့ဆုတောင်းစာဖြစ်ပြီး ပုံ၏အောက်ခြမ်းမှာ မြန်မာပြည်မှ ရသော ကမ္မ၀ါပရိတ်ပါဠိတော်ဖြစ်သည်။

ပါဠိ (Pāli) ဟူသည် အိန္ဒိယတိုက်ငယ်အတွင်းရှိ တိုင်းရင်းလူမျိုးတို့၏ မိခင်ဘာသာစကားတစ်မျိုးဖြစ်၏။ ဤဘာသာစကားကို ကျယ်ကျယ်ပြန့်ပြန့်လေ့လာမှုပြုကြရာအကြောင်းအရင်းခံမှာ ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာ၏ အဖိုးတန်စာပေများဖြစ်သော ပိဋကတ်သုံးပုံကို ပါဠိဘာသာဖြင့် စုဆောင်းသိမ်းစည်းထားမှတ်တမ်းတင်ခဲ့ကြသောကြောင့်ဖြစ်သည်။

ပါဠိဟူသော စကားလုံးကို ထေရ၀ါဒဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာ၀င်တို့က လက်နက်သဖွယ်အသုံးပြုခဲ့ကြသည်။ လေ့လာသူများအကြား ပါဠိဆိုသည့် စကားလုံး၏ အနက်ကိုဖွင့်ဆိုပုံခြင်းမတူသကဲ့သို့ ထိုစကားလုံးကို စာလုံးပေါင်းပုံခြင်းပင် မတူညီကြပါ။ R. C. Childers က ပါဠိဟူသည် "အစဉ်" ဟု အနက်ဖွင့်သည်။

ပါဠိဘာသာစကားနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ အနီးစပ်ဆုံးတွေ့ရှိရသော သမိုင်းအထောက်အထားမှာ အိန္ဒိယနိုင်ငံအနောက်ပိုင်းရှိ ဂူဂျာရတ်ဒေသမှ အသောကမင်းကြီး၏ ကျောက်စာတိုင်များဖြစ်သည်။
