Post-medieval thimble: Sewing ring (a)

English: A copper alloy open topped ring thimble or 'sewing ring' dating to the post-medieval period. The thimble has with three lines of hand punched rectangular indentations. This style of thimble dates to the 16th or 17th century AD.
