မယ်လနင် (အင်္ဂလိပ်: Melanin) သည် သက်ရှိများစွာ၏ အရောင်ကို ပေးစွမ်းနိုင်သည့် ဇီဝမော်လီကျူးများ၏ မိသားစုတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပြီး၊ အိုလီဂိုမာများ(oligomers) သို့မဟုတ် ပိုလီမာများ(polymers)အဖြစ် ဖွဲ့စည်းထားသည်။[၁] (ဥပမာအားဖြင့် သစ်နက် (black panther)၏ အမည်းရောင်သည် ၎င်းမယ်လနင်ကြောင့်ဖြစ်သည်။[၂])
ယူမယ်လနင် ( eumelanin)၊ ဖီယိုမယ်လနင် (pheomelanin)၊ နယူရိုမယ်လနင် (neuromelanin)၊ အယ်လိုမယ်လနင် (allomelanin))နှင့် ပိုင်ယိုမယ်လနင် (pyomelanin)ဟူ၍ မယ်လနင် အခြေခံအုပ်စု ၅-ခု ရှိသည်။[၃]
