Español: Nebulosa de Eta Carinae o NGC 3372 tomada desde el Observatorio Astronómico Los Molinos, Canelones, Uruguay. La imagen forma parte del trabajo para el proyecto El Cielo Interactivo, Proyecto conjunto entre el Instituto de Comunicación de la Facultad de Información y Comunicación, el Departamento de Astronomía de la Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de la República y el Observatorio Astrónomico Los Molinos, Uruguay. Las tomas para producir la imagen fueron realizadas por Fernando da Rosa (9 tomas light de 2 minutos a ISO 1.250 con una Nikon Df y lente Nikkor catadióptrico de 500 mm f8, también se hicieron las correspondientes tomas dark, bias y flat para el procesamiento posterior) y Santiago Roland (puso en posición el telescopio y ayudo a controlar los tiempos de exposición), el procesamiento fue realizado por Fernando da Rosa utilizando PixInsight lo cual implico la integración de las imágenes, análisis de la escala de brillo, reducción de ruido de fondo, manejo de la saturación de color, mejora de la definición y rango dinámico de la imagen, mediante diversas herramientas disponibles en PixInsight. El proyecto es financiado por la Agencia Nacional de Investigación e Innovación (ANII) de Uruguay.
English: View of the Carina Nebula taken from the Astronomy Observatory of Los Molinos (OALM) (es) located in Montevideo, Uruguay. The picture is based on 9 frames of 2 minutes exposure time each with a Nikon Df and a catadioptric Nikkor 500mm f/8 lense, apart from the dark, bias and flat frames for the post-processing. For the post-processing a dedicated software for this kind of photography (PixInsight) was used that merges the images, analyses the brightness scale, reduces the noise and enables the management of saturation and dynamic range.
